COVID-19 infection in Alberta surpasses 1,000, five new deaths confirmed Friday
LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Government of Alberta has provided its latest update on COVID-19 in the province.
Premier Jason Kenney says 107 new cases were confirmed, bringing the total now to 1,075.
Another five deaths in Alberta related to COVID-19 were announced, meaning 18 people have died from it.
Chief Medical Officer of Health Dr. Deena Hinshaw says four of the deaths occurred at the McKenzie Towne Long Term Care centre in Calgary. The other death was for a woman in her 20’s from Edmonton.
