Reassuring Canadians of public safety, with the National Strategy for Critical Infrastructure

OTTAWA, ON. —– With a continuing period of great uncertainty about how long we will be impacted by COVID-19, the Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food, is assuring Canadians that the government is taking all the necessary measures to ensure that Canadians always have access to quality food at affordable prices.

Marie Claude Bibeau, says the government is very aware of how essential those who work on farms, in processing plants and throughout the food supply chain are to our collective well-being. She Says Canadians can be sur, when they go to the grocery store, they can be confident there will be food on the shelves.”

Despite concerns, food workers are on the job, working to make sure we all have enough to eat, and public health departments are working to protect the health of food workers

The Government has released a National Strategy for Critical Infrastructure, which is published on the Public Safety Canada website.
