Lethbridge Electronic Music Festival hosting fundraiser for Interfaith Food Bank this weekend

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Electronic music fans can tune into an online festival while helping out a local cause.

The Lethbridge Electronic Music Festival (LEMF) organizing committee has announced its first-ever online streaming fundraiser on the platform Twitch.tv on May 2 and 3, 2020.

Anyone can tune in to watch performances for free. The bonus is that viewers can make a donation to Lethbridge’s Interfaith Food Bank. Donations can be made online via Interfaith’s Paypal Donate account.

All proceeds will go towards Interfaith’s efforts to help those impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

“In the midst of this COVID-19 crisis, each member of our committee has been astounded at the collective efforts of artists involved in the worldwide EDM community,” read a release from the LEMF.

“It’s no secret that music has incredible healing and therapeutic powers, and that dancing is undeniable medicine. We’re delighted to utilize our passions and provide our community with a healthy dose of good music to uplift the spirit.”

The online fundraiser will be spread out over 10 hours, and will be headlined by Vancouver, BC’s DJ Smoothie. The event will also feature:

· DJ Marty Funkhauser (Lethbridge, AB – LEMF committee member)

· DJ Pez (Lethbridge, AB – LEMF committee member)

· Def Conn (Lethbridge, AB)

· Cricksta (Lethbridge, AB – LEMF committee member)

The online festival starts Saturday, May 2 at 2:00 p.m. and concludes on Sunday, May 3 at 12:00 a.m., Mountain Standard Time. The event can be viewed via twitch.tv/lemf_yql.
