Economic Recovery Task Force announces new partnership

LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Lethbridge Region Economic Recovery Task Force has announced the launch of a new app to help local businesses.

The group has partnered with GetintheLoop, a mobile technology company, to launch the mobile and web-based service.

The partnership is one of the ways area businesses can promote their available products and services amid the global COVID-19 pandemic.

Through the partnership, GetintheLoop and the Task Force have created a ‘Community Connections Program’.

This has been established to provide free access to GetintheLopp’s mobile marketing platform for Lethbridge and other regional businesses – helping them reach residents on their smartphones, over email and on the web.

“As the voice of business in the Lethbridge area, we saw our members need to communicate to the public during these challenging business conditions and we wanted to expand our support to provide all Lethbridge and area businesses with free access to GetintheLoop’s platform as a way to help them stay connected to area residents with offers and information about how we can support them now, and as our community recovers,” said Cyndi Vos, the Lethbridge Chamber of Commerce Executive Director, in a release.

The platform will provide residents with accurate information about area businesses, as well as special services they may be providing such as curbside pick-up, gift card programs, online classes and incentives to support local businesses during the pandemic.

“We’re thrilled to partner with a community-minded organization like the Lethbridge Region Economic Recovery Task Force, who can use our technology to help the community stay connected, and support local entrepreneurs during this critical time,” said GetintheLoop’s founder and CEO Matt Crowell.

Residents can download the GetintheLoop app for free and register to receive email and push notification updates right on their phone.

Last month, a similar service was launched, called ‘Things That Are Open’.
