Nominations wanted for Alberta’s Agriculture Hall of Fame

STONY PLAIN, AB — You have an opportunity to nominate an outstanding individual who has made significant contribution to the agriculture and food industry.

Since 1951, the Hall of Fame has celebrated the accomplishments of men and women who have dedicated their lives to agriculture and their rural communities. The 135 inductees have been innovators and risk takers in every area of agriculture.

Every two years up to three people who have dedicated their lives to the industry and their rural communities are recognized.

A candidate must be nominated by three individuals other than members of the candidate’s immediate family. Information provided in the nomination form must stand on its own, and is the primary document used for evaluating candidates

Nominators may submit a nomination on behalf of an organization or independently as individuals.

To nominate someone:

  1. Download the 2020 Alberta Agriculture Hall of Fame Nomination Form (PDF, 282 KB).
  2. Submit your application form and three letters of recommendation.
