LETHBRIDGE, AB – Four people have been charged after a drug seizure by Lethbridge Police’s Crime Suppression Team (CST).

LPS stated that in late April, the CST started an investigation into drug trafficking activity at a residence along the 700 block of Columbia Boulevard in response to complaints from the public.

On April 30, a search warrant was obtained and executed. This resulted in police arresting seven people inside the home. LPS say they seized methamphetamine, fentanyl and cocaine.

According to police, the drugs have an estimated street value of around $7,500. LPS noted that officers also found two children inside the home, a 12 and 15-year-old, along with brass knuckles, a butterfly knife and nearly $800 in cash.

A 45-year-old Lethbridge man is charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance, one count of possession of stolen property and causing a child to be drug-endangered.

A 38-year-old Lethbridge man is charged with possession of a controlled substance and two counts of possession of a prohibited weapon.

A 28-year-old Lethbridge man is charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.

An 18-year-old Lethbridge woman is charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.

LPS say the accused have been released from custody and are all scheduled to appear in court July 24.

Their names are being withheld to protect the identity of the children who reside at the home. Three other individuals, who were also arrested at the scene, have been released without charges.
