Second man charged in connection with Lethbridge murder

LETHBRIDGE, AB – A second person has been charged in connection with a Lethbridge death.

On Monday, April 27, police responded to an apartment building along the 1200 block of 4 Avenue South at around 6:55 a.m. There, they located a deceased 43-year-old man inside a first-floor unit.

Investigation by the Criminal Investigation Section found that during the previous evening, the victim had been inside his apartment socializing with others when a physical altercation ensued.

Police say the victim suffered fatal injuries and was discovered unresponsive the following morning by a friend, who proceeded to call for help.

In an update sent out today (May 6), LPS say they subsequently identified two suspects.

The first, a 27-year-old male was arrested on May 1, while the second suspect was arrested without incident on May 5.

33-year-old Justin Robert Adel White Cow, of Lethbridge, is charged with second-degree murder.

His co-accused is 27-year-old Jason Paul James Crane Chief, also charged with second-degree murder.

LPS say both men remain in custody and will appear in court May 11 for a bail hearing. Police say they are not seeking any additional suspects in relation to this incident.
