Lethbridge’s Farmers’ Market set to open Saturday, May 23
LETHBRIDGE, AB – In less than one week, people in the Lethbridge area will be able to attend the region’s largest farmers’ market.
Exhibition Park says they are able to get the event up and running due to “positive developments in curving the spread of COVID-19 and in accordance with recent updates concerning Alberta’s stage 1 relaunch.”
Additional steps will be implemented to ensure vendors and guests are able to stay safe. These include:
- An Online Exhibitor Map has been created to show which vendors will be stationed where. You can view that here.
- Only one adult per household will be able to enter
- Guests are encouraged to shop for friends or family, especially for seniors or those with health complications
- There will likely be a lineup outside the facility to limit the number of people inside at one time
- Your time inside will be limited, although the exact amount of time was not specified
- Not every vendor will have card payment machines. Guests are encouraged to have cash on hand. On-site ATMs will not be available.
- Only touch products you intend to purchase
- Sanitization stations will be available at the entrance
- Respect signs and markers
- Guests showing signs of illness will not be allowed in
