Lethbridge County reopening main office June 1

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Residents of Lethbridge County will be able to visit the office in the city next week.

It closed on March 15 in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

However, the locations in Coaldale and Picture Butte will remain closed for the time being.

Officials from the county and the provincial government are implementing several health and safety protocols, including:

  • Do not visit the office if you show any symptoms of COVID-19
  • Only one person per family can enter
  • Only three non-employees will be permitted in the reception area
  • Virtual meetings with staff are encouraged. In-person meetings must be scheduled by calling 403-328-5525
  • Visitors must sign in at the reception desk
  • Meeting rooms are closed to the public
  • Visitors are asked to comply with physical and social distancing measures
  • Washrooms are closed to the public
  • Remote payment is encouraged. Other options include mailing a cheque or money order, online banking, or at back branches
  • External contractors will be required to sign in at the front counter
  • Council meetings will continue, but will remain closed to the public
