Second consecutive day with no new COVID-19 cases in South Health Zone
LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Government of Alberta reported a very low number of new COVID-19 infections Saturday.
There were just 13 additional cases provincially, bringing the total to 6,992. Of those, 6,245 people have recovered while 601 cases are still active.
One more person in the Calgary zone has died as a result of COVID-19, but Alberta Health says another death in that area is no longer deemed to have occurred because of the virus, so the Alberta-wide death toll remains the same at 143.
Saturday’s report marks the second day in a row that the South zone saw no new cases.
