South Zone remains free of new COVID-19 cases Wednesday

LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Government of Alberta has released its latest report on COVID-19 across the province.

Another 47 infections were confirmed provincially Wednesday, bringing the total to 7,262. Of those, 371 cases are still active while 6,754 people have recovered.

For this update, the South Health Zone saw no new cases and no one in the province died as a result of the virus.

310,271 tests have been completed to date, including 6,582 over just the last 24 hours.

As for the breakdown for the South Health Zone, the province recently changed the way they display information on the geospatial map, which is how we get the information for this. Due to this change, some of the local numbers may be off from what we have previously reported.
