TORONTO — Family and friends have said goodbye to a Toronto woman who fell to her death from a balcony while police were in her home.

The family of Regis Korchinski-Paquet gathered at a church Thursday for her funeral.

Korchinski-Paquet’s pastor remembers the 29-year-old as a caring woman who believed in God.

The 29-year-old died on May 27 after police officers arrived at her home.

Her family has questioned the role of officers in her death.

The family says Korchinski-Paquet was an avid gymnast as a child and loved dancing, music and singing.
