Hurricanes’ Zack Stringer among 46 players recognized for camp selection by Hockey Canada
LETHBRIDGE, AB – Zack Stringer of the Lethbridge Hurricanes is one of 46 players recognized for their invitation to take part in Canada’s National Men’s Summer Under-18 Team selection camp.
The 17-year-old forward is one of 12 Western Hockey League (WHL) players that received an invite to the camp. Born in Lethbridge, Stringer was originally drafted by the Hurricanes eight overall in the 2018 WHL Bantam Draft.
In his rookie campaign with the club, he led the Hurricanes’ rookies in scoring, totalling 34 points (11 goals, 23 assists) along with a plus-13 rating and 22 penalty minutes, while being named the team’s Rookie of the Year.
In 56 regular season games with the Hurricanes, he’s tallied 38 points (12 goals, 26 assists), with a plus-14 rating and 24 penalty minutes. He’s suited up in six post-season games (2019) where he totalled three points (one goal, two assists) and two penalty minutes.
