Three people arrested on drug offences in Lethbridge

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Lethbridge Police Service (LPS) has apprehended three people suspected to be involved in drug activities.

On Thursday, June 11, the Crime Suppression Team and ALERT members conducted a vehicle stop on the 1900 block of 2 Ave North.

A man driving the vehicle and a woman who was a passenger were arrested without incident.

Police then searched a home on Stafford Road North where another woman was arrested. She was allegedly in possession of a small quantity of methamphetamine.

They also investigated a residence on 300E Street in Raymond.

In total, LPS claims to have seized meth, fentanyl, and cocaine worth more than $2,600 as well as drug paraphernalia, $3,200 in cash, and a BMW 528 Xi.

Andrew Glenn Whiteford, 30, of Raymond, is charged with two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of the proceeds of crime. He was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court on September 25.

Abby Gail Girard, 40, of Lethbridge is charged with possession of a controlled substance. Girard was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court on September 25.

Sarah Jean Smith, 35, of Claresholm, is charged with possession of a controlled substance. Smith was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court on September 10.
