LPS recovers stolen property, imitation firearm and drugs

LETHBRIDGE,AB. — A 37-year old man has been charged after an LPS investigation earlier this month into drug activity.

The investigation, in partnership with SCAN, resulted in the search of a home by the Crime Suppression Team on June 17, at a home along the 100 block of 19 Street North.

Several occupants of the home were arrested on scene as police seized an imitation firearm, a small quantity of fentanyl, drug paraphernalia and stolen property including driver’s licenses, a birth certificate, a health care card, cheque and bank/credit cards.

Jason Shawn Cranston, of Lethbridge, is charged with possession of a firearm while prohibited, five counts of possession of identity document, three counts of possession of stolen property under $5,000, two counts of use/trafficking in a stolen credit card and possession of a controlled substance.
