Olivia, Noah top Alberta baby names in 2019, but don’t forget Rogue, Zeus and Khaleesi

EDMONTON – This year’s most popular baby names in Alberta are Olivia for girls and Noah for boys.

Service Alberta Minister Nate Glubish says it’s the sixth year in a row that Olivia has been the top name for girls and the name Charlotte is this year’s runner-up.

The name Emma is on a slide, dropping to No. 4 after being second in recent years.

For boys, the names Noah and Liam have been alternating as the top name in recent years, and this year it was Liam’s turn to be No. 2.

The list also includes a colourful array of first names including Jerusalem, Rogue, Zeus and from the HBO series Game of Thrones, Sansa and Khaleesi.
