Two men arrested on drug charges in North Lethbridge

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Lethbridge Police Service (LPS) have arrested two people on numerous charges.

Officers conducted search warrants at two homes, one located on the 900 block of 8 Street North and the other on the 200 block of 13 Street North on Thursday, June 18.

A man associated with the homes was apprehended alongside an acquaintance while they were socializing at a local business.

While searching a backpack, police claim to have found $12,000 in cash, two VLT cash-out tickets totalling over $1,300, a cell phone, drug paraphernalia, a scale, packaging, and small quantities of meth, fentanyl, heroin, and cocaine.

The acquaintance was found to be in the possession of a small quantity of cocaine.

At the 8 Street property, items were seized including tools, a can of bear spray, drug paraphernalia, an unknown white powder, $400 in cash, 91.5 tablets of suspected MDMA, and a ring.

The home on 13 Street had been cleaned out.

Mark Anthony Brown, 50, of Lethbridge, is charged with four counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, three counts of possession of a weapon while prohibited, unauthorized possession of a weapon, possession of stolen property under $5,000, and possession of stolen property over $5,000. Brown was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court on October 1.

Peter Conrad Bissonette, 47, of Lethbridge, is charged with possession of a controlled substance. He was released from custody to appear in court on October 1.
