Building inspections allowed to resume in private dwellings and commercial units

Jun 24, 2020 | 10:33 AM

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Residents of private dwellings and tenants of commercial and industrial units can once again have their building inspected.

The City of Lethbridge says its Building Inspection unit will resume performing check-ups in alignment with City Hall’s re-opening strategy.

Alberta Health protocols for health screening and personnel protective equipment (PPE) use will be followed for every inspection performed by Safety Code Officers.

Inspectors will conduct a health screening with the homeowner or tenant before they perform their inspection on site.

If an inspector finds that proper social distancing is unable to be maintained, or someone on site is exhibiting symptoms of illness, the inspection will be concluded and rescheduled for a later date.

Inspections can be booked online via the City of Lethbridge’s website.
