39 new COVID-19 infections in Alberta, no new deaths

LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Government of Alberta has released its report on COVID-19 for Sunday, June 28.

39 new infections were confirmed provincially, bringing the total to 7,996 520 cases are still active and 7,322 people have recovered.

Today, there was also no new cases in the South Zone.

No additional deaths were reported, leaving the number to date for Alberta at 154.

The regional breakdown is as follows:

• Edmonton zone – 984 cases, 242 active

• Central zone – 91 cases, three active

As for the breakdown for the South Health Zone, the province recently changed the way they display information on the geospatial map, which is how we get the information for this. Due to this change, some of the local numbers may be off from what we have previously reported.
