Eight Hurricanes alumni taking part in NHL training camps

LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes are well-represented in the NHL’s training camps this year.

The eight members of the local WHL franchise includes three forwards, four defensemen, and one goaltender.

They are:

  • Calen Addison – Minnesota Wild
  • Brayden Burke – Arizona Coyotes
  • Reid Duke – Vegas Golden Knights
  • Brennan Menell – Minnesota Wild
  • Luca Sbisa – Winnipeg Jets
  • Colton Scevior – Florida Panthers
  • Brent Seabrook – Chicago Blackhawks
  • Stuart Skinner – Edmonton Oilers

The NHL’s 24 teams started their training camps Monday as part of Phase 3 of their Return to Play plan.

Phase 4, set to begin August 1, will see 16 of the 24 teams begin best-of-five qualifying rounds for the playoffs.

It was announced on Friday that Edmonton and Toronto have been selected as the league’s two hub cities. More details here.
