STANDOFF, AB. — An increase in EMS responses and deaths related to opioid poisonings in Lethbridge, Cardston and on the Blood Reserve, has prompted Alberta Health Services to issue a Community Awareness Drug Alert.
The drugs are believed to be circulating in the above mentioned areas and Blood Tribe members are specifically linked to a number of overdose related deaths.
The photo posted with the story, is of drugs seized from a member of the community, who is facing charges related to illegal drug sales.
