AHS warns of ‘bad batch’ opioids circulating in South-west region

STANDOFF, AB. — An increase in EMS responses and deaths related to opioid poisonings in Lethbridge, Cardston and on the Blood Reserve, has prompted Alberta Health Services to issue a Community Awareness Drug Alert.
The drugs are believed to be circulating in the above mentioned areas and Blood Tribe members are specifically linked to a number of overdose related deaths.
