Wildrose Independence Party picks interim leader

CALGARY, AB. — The newly-formed Wildrose Independence Party has selected Paul Hinman as its interim leader.

Hinman served two terms as an Alberta MLA 2004-2008 and 2009-2012. He was leader of the Alberta Alliance and was instrumental in the merger with the Wildrose and became the first leader of the Wildrose Party.

“Mr. Hinman will give our party the right leadership it needs right now,” says Rick Northey, WIPA President, “someone that Alberta can get behind and support once again.”

The Wildrose Independence Party formed after members of Wexit Alberta and the Freedom Conservative Party voted to merge last month.
