CALGARY, AB. — Alberta Beef Producers (ABP) has extended the 2021 Environmental Stewardship Award (ESA) nomination deadline to July 31. The award showcases the work of provincial beef producers who are protecting and working with the environment.

Committee Chair, Kolton Kazur, says the long-running award recognized cattle producers whose natural resource stewardship practices contribute to the environment and enhanced productivity and profitability on their operations.

“Help us contribute to the celebration of Alberta producers who exhibit exemplary environment stewardship, by nominating someone you know, who is a leader in Alberta’s beef industry.”

Kazur urges producers and anyone interested to forward nominations.

“Nomination forms are available in the producers’ section of the Alberta Beef Producers website at www.albertabeef.org , from the Alberta Beef Producers office or from your local delegate.”

The 2020 award went to Southern Alberta’s Deer Creek Livestock.

Following the July 31 deadline to submit nominations, a team of judges will make the decision on who receives the prestigious award.
