LETHBRIDGE, AB – Police in Lethbridge are looking for a 21-year-old wanted in connection with an assault on the west side.

On July 19, at around 11:00 p.m., LPS responded to Chinook Regional Hospital after staff there reported that a man had been dropped off at the ER with serious head injuries.

The victim, a 26-year-old, was transferred to hospital in Calgary, where he remains in serious but stable condition.

The police investigation found that the victim and a group of acquaintances had been socializing throughout the day. Later in the evening, they returned to a home along the 100 block of Mount Blakiston Road West, where a verbal altercation escalated to a physical assault.

The victim was hit in the head with a weapon, according to police.

Through a follow-up investigation, LPS say they identified a suspect, but he has yet to be found.

A warrant has since been issued for the arrest of Brady Robert Tardif, a 21-year-old from Calgary. Tardif is charged with aggravated assault and two counts of failing to comply with release orders.
