Cyclist suffers serious head injuries in collision with SUV in Lethbridge

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Lethbridge Police Service are continuing to look into a collision that resulted in a cyclist being taken to hospital with serious injuries.

It occurred at approximately 7:30 pm on Wednesday, July 29.

LPS’ investigation determined that an SUV was travelling westbound on 4 Ave South when it struck a cyclist travelling northbound across 4 Ave from an alley between 5 and 6 Street.

The cyclist was taken to Chinook Regional Hospital for treatment but was later transferred to Calgary.

The victim remains in hospital.
