Waterton National Park issues partial Fire Ban
WATERTON LAKES PARK, AB. — Due to extreme Fire Danger, a partial fire ban has been issued for Waterton Lakes National Park.
Effective Friday, August 21, lighting or maintaining wood or briquette fires is strictly prohibited in the park, with the exception of the townsite and woodstoves at the following locations:
– Emerald Bay Day Use Area
– Cameron Bay Day Use Area
– Waterton Townsite Campground Kitchen Shelter
– Waterton Lakeshore Kitchen Shelter
Visitors are advised to plan ahead and bring a barbeque or propane stove if then plan meals during their visit.
