Only two dates remain for downtown Farmer’s Market

LETHBRIDGE, AB. — Those who have enjoyed the downtown Farmers’ Market, this summer, and those who haven’t yet, need to be aware there are only two Wednesdays left for the market.

The 14th annual Lethbridge Exhibition Park and Downtown Lethbridge Business Revitalization Zone (BRZ) summer downtown market began on Wednesday, July 22, for the 2020 season.

The market’s final days of operation are on September 2 and 9, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

One significant change this season was a new location, due to construction on third avenue. Instead of the usual location at Festival Square, the market has been set up on 2 Avenue South between 4 Street and 5 Street South.

The new location provided a wider street than Festival Square, offering vendors more space and physical distance for those who attend.

All vendors in the market complete a screening on the day of the market to ensure that it is safe for them to participate and attendees are encouraged to wear a mask.

Bathrooms at Galt Gardens, across the street from the new location, will be open for both consumers and vendors.
