LETHBRIDGE, AB – Two men have been charged in connection with drug trafficking cocaine and methamphetamine.

Lethbridge Police say on September 10, following a short-term investigation by the Priority Crimes Unit, a search warrant was obtained and executed at a south side hotel room.

There, police say they seized about 163 grams of crack cocaine, 76 grams of methamphetamine and nearly $2,200 in cash.

Two men were arrested without incident and police seized additional pre-packaged bags of meth and cocaine, as well as $1,000 in cash.

LPS says the combined value of the drugs is just over $21,500.

33-year-old Carmon Shane Deschamps, of Maskwacis, and Kyle Mitchell Saddleback, a 34-year-old from Calgary, are each charged with two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking and one count of possession of the proceeds of crime.

Following Judicial Interim Release hearings, both were remanded in custody and are scheduled to appear in court on Monday, September 14.
