LETHBRIDGE, AB– Students, parents, staff, showed up in front of the Lethbridge School Division office Thursday (Sept 24) afternoon, to protest the halting of all sports and extracurricular activities in Lethbridge schools.

In the Westwinds school division, sports and other activities are in full swing but in schools in Lethbridge, students aren’t even allowed to practice.

Alberta Health Services have given sports the green light, as well as the Alberta Schools Athletic Association, but the school divisions will not allow any sports.

The following video package was created to capture the rally.

In a release by the Lethbridge School Division in response, they are going to be looking into the return of sports and other activities in the middle of October.
