Alberta Beef Producers ask for updated producer information

CALGARY, AB. — Alberta Beef Producers (ABP) are hoping every producer in the province will participate in their current undertaking. General Manager, Brad Dubeau, says ABP has a ‘Request for Information’.

“We`re preparing right now a mail-out to producers, for the upcoming producer meetings and delegate election. In an effort to update our records and better serve the industry, ABP is asking for producers to go online and fill out the request for information update form.”

Information obtained will be valuable for operations at ABP, adds Dubeau.

“The information that we collect, is how we communicate with our producers, and just so the producers are aware, that information will only be utilized in our own distribution data base – and maintaining the data base is constant work, because we rely on self-reporting.”

Dubeau adds, “Producers that have had a change of address or they have exited the industry, I really encourage them to contect online, and provide us with the updated information, so we can best connect with them, when it comes to the upcoming fall meetings and the delegate elections.”

Dubeau was asked when details of the fall producer meetings will be known.

“We`re finalizing details on the fall meetings and we`re, hopefully, going to be able to put that out very, very soon. Currently, it is looking like we are going to be online with all of our fall meetings – unfortunately, with COVID cases rising, we`ll be looking to provide a format that`s online, that will allow producers from across the province to participate.“

“Also, any of the producers out there that are interested in becoming an ABP delegate, please go online – fill out, and send in your delegate nomination form before October 15.“
