MEDICINE HAT, AB – Two Southern Albertans have been apprehended and warrants are out for two others after a series of crimes were allegedly committed.

ALERT says they are still looking for a pair of suspects from Lethbridge, 31-year-old Shane Pool, and 25-year-old Nicole Poole, who are both wanted on charges of theft and vehicle theft.

On Thursday, September 24, two arrests were made after a home in Medicine Hat was searched.

Dallas MacDougall, 49, of Medicine Hat, and Christopher Penney, 45, of Medicine Hat were placed behind bars.

Officers claim to have found near $20,000 in stolen property.

They have linked the property to thefts in Taber, Redcliff, Dunmore, Bow Island, and Medicine Hat with the items including a cargo trailer, a van, bicycles, and various tools.

“Prolific property crimes like these really magnify crime concerns in rural communities. ALERT teamed up with our partner agencies to put an end to this crime spree,” said Insp. Sean Boser, ALERT Regional Teams.

“The movement of criminals across our police jurisdictions requires a collaborative and targeted approach. We are grateful for the partnership with ALERT in combatting crime in southern Alberta,” said Chief Graham Abela, Taber Police Service.

For this investigation, ALERT collaborated with Medicine Hat and Taber Police, Taber RCMP, and Bow Island RCMP.
