Calgary man charged with drug trafficking in Lethbridge

LETHBRIDGE, AB – A Calgary man has been charged with drug trafficking by Lethbridge Police.

On September 30, following a short-term investigation by LPS’ Priority Crimes Unit, a search warrant was obtained and executed at a southside apartment in the 900 block of 15 Street South.

Police say they seized approximately 148 grams of fentanyl, 132 grams of methamphetamine, 25 grams of crack cocaine, 148 grams of a drug buffing agent and over $14,100 in cash.

The combined value of the drugs is just over $40,400.

29-year-old Samantar Hussein is charged with three counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking and one count of possession of the proceeds of crime.

Hussein has been held in custody for a Judicial Interim Release Hearing.
