LETHBRIDGE, AB – The sixth season of Battle of the Blades will debut this week.

Earlier this month, CBC announced that its show had been postponed after a member of the production team tested positive for COVID-19.

Following a waiting period, the show’s sixth season premiere will air Thursday, October 22.

Battle of the Blades teams professional figure skaters with pro hockey players. The duos compete against one another for a $100,000 prize that will be donated to charities of their choice.

This year, southern Alberta has some representation with Lethbridge’s Kris Versteeg competing. The two-time Stanley Cup winner will team with B.C.’s Carlotta Edwards.
