Lethbridge Food Bank annual fundraiser to highlight live music

LETHBRIDGE, AB– This year, because of COVID-19 restrictions, the Lethbridge Food Bank will be hosting their annual fundraiser at Honkers Pub and Eatery on November 10th, 2020.

In normal years, the Lethbridge Food Bank would have many different ways of raising funds, and this year the event will showcase live music.

The event will be from 7:00 PM- 11:00 PM on November 10th and will require a $10 cover charge with all proceeds being donated to the Lethbridge Food Bank.

There will be a bin for non-perishable food items and a donation box at the door of Honkers Pub.

A 50/50 draw is in the works with half the proceeds going straight to the food bank.

Three bands will be playing on the night for free and are based out of Lethbridge (Vintage Wine, Rebel Angels, and Whiskey Gap).

Lead singer of Vintage Wine, Gillian MacLeod has helped co-create the fundraiser and is happy to be giving back to the food bank.

“I feel like this year it’s needed more than other years, as a lot of people are struggling right now, a lot of people have lost jobs this year and I just feel like they are going to be in much more need of donations this year.”

In addition to the fundraiser, prizes will be given away including a $250.00 Visa Gift Card courtesy of BMK Contracting.

At the event, safety protocols will be in place such as masks, sanitizer stations, 6 to a table, social distancing in place, and temperature checks at the door.
