LETHBRIDGE, AB– Hockey Canada announced their 46-player roster for the 2021 National Junior Team Selection Camp, and Lethbridge Hurricanes captain Dylan Cozens and Brandon Wheat Kings’ Ridley Greig were on the list.

19-year-old Cozens played on 2020’s World Junior Championship team in the Czech Republic, taking home Gold.

Cozens played in seven games, tallying nine points (2g-7a) while adding a goal in the championship game against Team Russia.

He has represented the nation at the Under-20, Under-18, and Under-17 levels during his career thus far.

The seventh overall pick in the 2019 NHL Draft, Cozens has appeared in 179 career regular-season games with the
Hurricanes collecting 223 points.

Lethbridge born-and-raised, Ridly Greig will also appear in the camp, shortly after being drafted by the Ottawa Senators in the 2020 NHL Draft.

The 2021 IIHF World Junior Championship opens Christmas day in Edmonton, Alberta.

Due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the tournament has moved from originally taking place in Red Deer to a “competition bubble” without spectators at Rogers Place in Edmonton.

The NHL recently hosted their Stanley Cup playoffs in The Bubble to provide players a safe environment to compete.
