Halloween could look quite different this year due to COVID-19.

Two local organizations have teamed up to make sure kids can still enjoy the spooky holiday. Bikers Building Bridges has been working alongside 25 other local organizations on the second annual Halloween Drive-Thru Trunk-or-Treat event.

The COVID-19 friendly night takes place Saturday, October 31 from 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Exhibition Park in Lethbridge.

Volunteer vehicles will be set up along a marked path in Exhibition Park’s parking lot for parents and kids to follow, stopping at each ‘trunk’ along the way so children can enjoy their trick-or-treating experience, in a safe environment.

Businesses in the region have donated candies for local children, and organizers are putting out a last-minute call for any others that want to help out.

Further details on how you can donate or volunteer for Saturday’s event are available through the Bikers Building Bridges-Lethbridge Facebook page.
