AHS confirms case of COVID-19 at Chinook High School

LETHBRIDGE, AB. — Lethbridge Public School Board has been notified by Alberta Health Services that they have identified a case of COVID-19 at Chinook High school, which has been put on alert.

The last COVID case at the school was on September 9.

Close contacts of the current case will be notified via email and instructed to quarantine for at least 14 days.

Public Health also has provided recommendations to the school about cleaning measures and other control measures to further reduce the risk of transmission.

If you are not contacted, then your child is not a close contact and can attend school as usual following all public health guidance.

Custodial services will conduct enhanced cleaning. with a focus on areas where the individual was present along with high-touch areas and surfaces throughout the facility.

The school schedule will proceed as normal for Monday, Nov. 2, 2020.
