Two men charged following west Lethbridge search warrants

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Two men have been charged in connection with investigations at a couple of west Lethbridge apartment complexes.

On Thursday, Oct. 29, following an investigation by the Lethbridge Police Priority Crimes Unit, two search warrants were executed at two separate apartment complexes.

Police say they seized more than $28,000 cash at an apartment in the Garry Station area. At an apartment complex in the Berkley Place area, police say they seized a conducted energy weapon.

28-year-old Abdulkadir Yusuf, of Toronto, has been charged with possession of proceeds of crime over $5,000, as well as several breaches of a release order stemming from matters out of Regina, Saskatchewan.

Yusuf is in custody and will participate in a Judicial Interim Release Hearing.

Meanwhile, 23-year-old Tyler Workman, of Lethbridge, has been charged with one count of unauthorized possession of a prohibited weapon and was released on an undertaking with several conditions.
