Collision kills pedestrian southwest of Magrath

MAGRATH, AB – A 36-year-old woman was killed in the rural Magrath area following a collision late Monday.

Raymond/Magrath RCMP say at around 7:30 p.m. November 2, Mounties were dispatched to a vehicle and pedestrian collision, which occurred about 18 kilometres southwest of Magrath on Range Road 225.

EMS attended the scene and transported the 36-year-old woman to hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries.

RCMP say the preliminary investigation has found that the truck involved was travelling northbound on Range Road 225 at the time of the collision.

The investigation continues and RCMP say no further updates are anticipated.
