COVID-19 outbreak at Chinook High School

LETHBRIDGE, AB. — Alberta Health Services notified the Lethbridge Public School Division on Wednesday (Nov 4), of a COVID-19 outbreak at Chinook High School.

An outbreak is defined as two or more confirmed cases within a 14-day period.

As a result of the two new cases, the school is required to follow AHS direction and protocols. Based on advice from Alberta Education, Chinook High School will remain open.

AHS has proceeded with defining close contacts of the two cases within the school context, and those individuals will be contacted by the school via email.

Those individuals will be required to quarantine immediately for the period defined by the close-contact letter.
