LETHBRIDGE, AB – Lethbridge Police Service members will soon have access to new mental health supports.

LPS has announced the Lethbridge Police Service Wellness App, a project in partnership with Cordico, a world-leader in wellness technology.

The app will provide access to therapists, peer support and the “leading wellness solution offering confidential, in-hand, on-demand, 24/7 access” to over 40 different modules.

These modules will focus on topics such as: alcohol, depression, emotional health, family support, financial fitness, mindfulness, psychological first aid, sleep optimization, and stress management.

The app will not only be offered to LPS employees, but also to spouses and retired members.

“No one should ever feel blocked from accessing help at times of need due to their schedule or location or concerns about confidentiality, and that is especially true for our public safety personnel who dedicate their professional lives to responding to others’ emergencies,” said Dr. David Black, Cordico’s CEO.

The new Lethbridge Police Service Wellness App will be rolled out within the next few months.

The Lethbridge service is the first policing agency in Canada to partner up with Cordico.
