LETHBRIDGE, AB – Alberta Premier Jason Kenney joined Chief Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Deena Hinshaw, to provide an update on the province’s COVID-19 situation as of November 6th.

The Alberta Health Services report on the virus, detailed 802 confirmed cases for November 4th and 609 cases on November 5th.

The 1,411 cases across the province over the two days, brought the total to 31,858. The number of active cases has not been updated as well as the number of people recovered.

Hinshaw confirmed eight additional deaths in Alberta over the two day period, with 26,483 tests completed.

Cities and Communities on Alberta’s “Watch list” are mandated to keep social gathering limits to a 15 person maximum, which includes Lethbridge, Calgary, and Edmonton.

Specific numbers in Lethbridge and across other parts of the province will not be updated until Alberta Health can figure out its technical problems.

Provincially, 171 patients are currently hospitalized and 33 have been admitted to intensive care units.

The regional breakdown for COVID-19 in Alberta is as follows:
