Bridge Drive closed, some facilities shut doors due to winter blast

Nov 8, 2020 | 3:28 PM

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Near-whiteout conditions are being observed across much of Southern Alberta Sunday.

The City of Lethbridge says fire and police have responded to “numerous” multi-vehicle accidents related to the “rapidly-deteriorating road conditions.”

“Only essential travel is recommended at this time.”

Due to the poor roads, Bridge Drive is closed for the time being.

Nicholas Sheran and Stan Siwik pools are closed.

Anyone using Lethbridge Transit is told to expect delays.
