Hwy 3 closed between Lethbridge and Coalhurst

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Travellers will not be able to head west on Highway 3 out of Lethbridge.

The AMA Road Report says there has been a motor vehicle collision on the westbound lanes near Township Road 94.

All lanes are closed. Traffic is being detoured.

According to multiple reports on social media, multiple vehicles, including semi-trucks, are in the ditch in this section of the highway.

The City of Lethbridge said on Facebook that non-essential travel “should be avoided today.”

Lethbridge Police Service doubled-down on advising against non-essential travel.

LNN reported Sunday that Highway 5 is closed near Raymond due to multiple collisions at “extreme weather conditions.”
