Nov 8, 2020 | 2:16 PM

RAYMOND, AB – RCMP are advising drivers that Highway 5 near Raymond is closed.

Officers responded Sunday to reports of multiple collisions on the highway “due to extreme weather conditions.”

Blowing snow, poor visibility, and icy road conditions are factors.

Injuries have been reported but RCMP are not releasing any further details at this time.

“Traffic has been diverted at Township 508 south of Lethbridge, Alta. and diverted from Hwy 5 north of Cardston, Alta.”

Traffic is not flowing on Hwy 5 due to the winter weather and to allow for emergency responders to transport victims to safety.
