Nov 9, 2020 | 3:50 PM

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Alberta Health Services has released Monday’s report on COVID-19.

After being plagued by issues with an AHS system update for an entire week, it looks like nearly everything is back to normal now. However, since the last time we have had a regional or community breakdown was last Wednesday, November 4, today’s article will not attempt to say how many cases, deaths, or hospitalizations are “new” since yesterday.

644 cases were confirmed across the province in the last 24 hours, bringing the total to 34,160. Of those, 7,965 cases are active while 25,826 people have recovered.

In the five days since the last local update, the South Health Zone has seen 258 people test positive, or an average of 52 people per day. 497 infections are active, a growth of 164 in that time.

88 have contracted the virus in Lethbridge over the last five days, a daily average of 18. Active cases in the city rose by 37 to 201.

Since Sunday’s update, seven Albertans have died from COVID-19, meaning the virus has claimed the lives of 369 to date.

Provincially, 192 patients are currently hospitalized and 39 have been admitted to intensive care units.

Data for testing numbers are not available at this time.
