One positive case of COVID-19 confirmed at Westminster Elementary School

LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Lethbridge School Division has confirmed one positive case of COVID-19 at Westminster Elementary School.
Contact tracing is underway and close contacts will be notified via email and instructed to quarantine for at least 14 days.
If a parent/guardian is not contacted, then their child is not a close contact and can attend school as normal. The division could not say whether the positive case was a student or staff members.
The school’s custodial has been instructed to conduct enhance cleaning, with a focus on areas where the infected individual was present, along with high-touch areas and surfaces in the facility.
