COVID outbreak declared at Fleetwood-Bawden Elementary School

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Another school in Lethbridge has an outbreak of COVID-19.

On Friday, November 20, the Lethbridge School Division was informed by Alberta Health Services (AHS) that two positive cases have been identified at Fleetwood-Bawden Elementary School.

When it comes to schools, the Alberta Government defines a COVID outbreak as being two or more confirmed cases in a school setting within a 14-day period or two or more cases that are epidemiologically linked.

It was not stated whether the affected persons were staff or students.

At this time, Fleetwood-Bawden will remain open.

AHS has proceeded with defining close contacts of the cases. They will be required to immediately quarantine.
