COVID outbreak declared at Gilbert Paterson in Lethbridge

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Public Health staff are investigating cases of COVID-19 at Gilbert Paterson Middle School.

AHS says they will keep staff, students, and visitors up to date on the cases and how they progress.

If staff or students have been identified as a close contact of a confirmed COVID-19 case, PublicHealth will contact them for follow-up.

AHS says the risk of the general population in the school becoming infected because of these cases is low.

It was not stated whether the impacted individuals were staff members and/or students. We’ll have more information soon.
