New record 1,584 COVID-19 cases reported Sunday

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Just one day after breaking Alberta’s daily COVID-19 case record, that number has been broken once again.

Alberta Health Services has released Sunday’s report on COVID-19, covering statistics from the past 24 hours.

1,584 cases were confirmed across the province, bringing the total to 46,872.

Of those, 12,195 Active cases are active while 34,206 people have recovered.

Some good news is that no new deaths were recorded over that period so deaths in Alberta remain at 471.

Saturday marked a new record of daily COVID-19 cases at 1,336 and just one day later, that has already been broken.

19,472 tests were completed on November 21st also 319 people are in hospital and 60 are in intensive care.

As for the breakdown for Lethbridge and the South Zone, those numbers are not available at this time.
